Principals and Associates
The Principals are Mark S. Hanson, PLS, Scott J. Soukup, PLS, Arlee J. Carlson, PLS and Lenny F. Carlson, PLS. Each Principal holds professional registrations in Minnesota. Mark Hanson, PLS is also licensed in Wisconsin and Arizona. Lenny Carlson, PLS is also licensed in Wisconsin.

Mark S. Hanson, PLS, Principal
Mark has over 36 years of experience in the land surveying industry and 34 years at Sunde Land Surveying.  He oversees the field department, actively participates in boundary surveys and client consultations to determine what is needed to get a project done.   Mark is the leader of planning for future equipment and software purchases needed to keep Sunde Land Surveying on the leading edge of the industry.

Mark is a registered Land Surveyor in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Arizona.  He is a member of the Arizona Professional Land Surveyors Association, Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyors Association and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association.

Scott J. Soukup, PLS, Principal
Scott has been with Sunde Land Surveying since 1976 and has been a Licensed Land Surveyor for over 20 years. He is responsible for supervising the North Office, human resource management, client relations, project coordination, office employee and  equipment management.  Scott works closely with our clients to determine their needs and to assist in the success of their projects.

Scott is a registered Land Surveyor in Minnesota and is a member of the American Congress on Surveying & Mapping (ACSM).

Arlee J. Carlson, PLS, Principal
Arlee has been in the land surveying field for over 20 years specializing in construction and field operations.  He manages the field scheduling, actively participates in boundary survey analysis, field equipment maintenance and purchasing.  Arlee is involved in construction project management, client consultation and hands-on field project management.

Arlee is a registered Land Surveyor in Minnesota and holds professional memberships with the Minnesota Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association.

Lenny F. Carlson, PLS, Principal
Lenny has been in the land surveying business for over 20 years and has experience with both Minnesota and Wisconsin land surveying practices.  His duties include project office coordination, office personnel management, computer systems administration, buying and purchasing office and field software and equipment.

Lenny is a registered Land Surveyor in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  He holds professional memberships with the Minnesota Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the Wisconsin Professional Land Surveyors Association.

John K. Barnes, PLS, Associate
As of January 1, 2008, John has retired from Sunde
Land Surveying after over 30 years of service. He will be available on a limited basis when he is not fishing,
driving his tractor or hunting!

Ron P. Murphy, PLS
Ron Murphy, PLS was the owner of Comstock and Davis and joined Sunde Land Surveying when Comstock and Davis was purchased in November 2006. He has been a land surveyor for over 50 years and a contributor to many land surveying publications.
